The waves come in fast.
Small troughs expose a rocky surface. Scratches till its sore. Bleeds till it dies.
A MASSIVE CREST! Towering above me. Demeaning, impending white-wash doom. Here I lie.
Watch how it's teeth are unsheathed. Jaws gape open, swallow me whole please.
Instead it rips and tears, my skin parts like a zipper, I fall to my knees.
Churn once inside, stew it up, heart and lungs. Add some spice, it's suppertime.
Bubbling blood can't reach the brain but I can hear the deathbell chime.
Write of me and who I dreamt I could be and said I would be.
Tell your children I was the greatest, the boldest, the legacy.
Think of me, bobbing here on this ocean, rinsing with the foam.
Think of me, weathering the storm, wishing I was home.
